The annual Great Community Give is cool initiative celebrating local non-profit organizations. It has a fun “game” vibe where your monetary donation enters your organization into multiple drawings.  Your charity may get up to $4000 in donated prize money in addition to your donations.   Sweet!

April 22 is the final day of the Great Community Give with lots of prizes.  Heads up – I plan to blog again closer that day.  I’ll include a specific “power hour” where the library is hoping to win the $1000 prize for the most donors in that hour.  If you can afford $30, consider giving $20 today at the above link, and $10 on April 22.   Hopefully I will be able to report back that we won a prize.

I have recently set up recurring monthly donations to church and some of the charities I support.   I have been surprised by the jolt of pleasure when I see the automated email, “thank you for your gift”.  Warm fuzzies nearly every week!
