We have been back in Healy one week and have gone into Denali as far as Mountain Vista 3 times. We saw The Mountain (and lots of beautiful lesser mountains). Yesterday we watched a mostly white Ptarmagin walk along a gravel bar, and saw a moose grazing then lie down. Today we saw fresh tracks from where the moose had been lying, heading down into a ravine.

Twice we have seen Dall Sheep in the mountains between Healy and The Canyon. We generally also see Ravens and a Magpie or two.

On my daily walks around the cabin I have seen a Ruffed Grouse and probably a flock of Redpolls. I have also finally clearly seen a Boreal Chickadee, as well as the Black-capped Chickadees, which have been more common.

Most of the time we are driving and walking we see lots of beautiful scenery but no birds or animals. But there is the constant possibility! We are happy to be back.

Our most common wildlife sighting is an adorable and talkative red squirrel living around our cabin. Sometimes we get quite the scolding.
