Hot Springs also Sun Halos

Chena Hot Spring is an easy evening trip from Fairbanks.

Chena Hot Springs

C had a training in Fairbanks this past week. Evenings we alternated running errands and having fun. Chena Hot Springs was enjoyable & worth the $20 each.

One afternoon while C was still working I enjoyed a walk and seeing a sun halo at Creamer’s Field.

Different sun halo, this one in Healy

  1. Clyde and I were there with my Dad and mom back in the 1960’s ! I hear they have quite a hotel there now and one made out of ice!
So glad you are getting around. I hope you went to Fairbank’s (UAA) University Museum. It is just a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.
Just had lunch with our Fairbank’s friends- they have delayed returning for a month, as it is just to much snow for them! Donna

    1. I did go to the Museum of the North at the University while C was at work one day. It was incredible! Wonderful museum & definitely on the list of places my parents (& every else) should visit while in Fairbanks. We did not tour the ice museum/hotel at Chena, but did drive past it to get to the springs. Snow has finally started melting, but lots left.
