Day Fourteen, Whitehorse to Pickhandle Lake

We saw a small band of free range (wild?) horses shortly after getting underway. A little further we saw a big coyote but couldn’t get a photo.

Free range horses along Alcan

The scenery has been incredible, especially after the snow cleared and visibility improved. Like so much of the trip, the photos don’t do justice.

Kluane Lake

Writing from Destruction Bay along Kluane Lake, as we won’t have service when we stop for the night.  The restaurant is busy (for this tiny town).  Locals are planning for a big ice fishing tournament this weekend.

  1. I haven’t really commented yet, but I am SOOO much enjoying reading your journals and seeing your pictures! It feels like I’m along on the trip with you except I’m warm! Please continue to post and we need to find a way to come see you in Alaska!!!
