Truck doors & hood and trailer door were frozen shut this morning, but turned into a beautiful day.  We saw deer and windmills (every day so far) and lots of turkeys. Snow on roadsides but not on the road. 

Three things we saw but no photos:  lake with ice fishing huts, cranberry bogs, and a cool rock formation towering over the highway. 

Tonight we are staying at the awesome Team Oil Travel Center “campground/parking lot”in Spring Valley WI. 

In the summer there are 8 electric RV-only sites here.  Apparently they are not used to people asking to stay in the winter, but they were exceptionally accommodating.  (In retrospect we should have called ahead. Any more snow and we may not have had access to electricity.) The cost is a $20 donation to a local cancer fund.

C ate at the Subway in the center, but I wanted cast iron potatoes and cabbage – yummy.
