What a wet windy day.  Rain, snow, 50 mph gusts.  We adjusted our route to head west (instead of northwest) to avoid the worst of it.   The motto of the day was “we’re having an adventure!” 

My Aunt D kindly hosted us for the night. Allowing for rain and wind, we hoped to arrive around 2. But when it turned to rapidly accumulating snow we slowed down & didn’t make it until after 6. Pullinga trailer in the wind is no joke. Fortunately, Blizzak brand tires are awesome in snow! Without them we would have needed to stop at a hotel (or would have been one of the many wrecks we passed).

Tomorrow we head north!
