MV Columbia, Day 3

Shortly after breakfast this morning, we had a 4 hour stop in Ketchikan.   Shockingly,  it didn’t rain at all during the stop!

We saw lots of pink salmon in Ketchikan Creek and watched a seal eat one.  My seal photos are so pathetic that I am not posting them.

When we headed south again, we saw 2 whales (probably both humpbacks) , 5 orca, and a pod of porpoise!

C re-boarding the Columbia

The ferry won’t stop again until we arrive in Bellingham,  Washington, early Friday morning. We have 38 hours to enjoy being onboard.

Neither of us is eager to resume driving when we are committed to doing so many miles yet.  Hopefully by taking it one day at a time, without an actual deadline, it won’t be as bad as C fears.
