The forecast and rumors led us to believe we would have bad weather and sketchy roads today, but once again our luck held. While we woke to a dusting of new snow and had a few flurries on the drive, the roads were great until the last 2 miles and passable right to our door.

We stopped in Fairbanks for shopping and errands. Fortunately, one task took us directly past Creamers Field, so we took a few minutes to check out the migrating Swans that had paused there.

We drove the final 110 miles from Fairbanks to Healy, arriving around 2, wrapping up our spring migration at 4405 miles. It is so beautiful and good to be home.

Last year the snow was much deeper, requiring heavy equipment to dig us out. https://roaming-nature.com/2023/03/18/day-sixteen-delta-junction-to-healy/ This year C shoveled us out.

After unpacking we went into the Park to get a few things. We saw 10 Dall Sheep on the way back.
