Fishing in Virginia in March is different than fishing in Alaska in March. We were more comfortable and more productive this weekend. We also have a LOT more practice bass fishing than ice fishing, so it is easier for us to catch a meal.

Three weeks from today, we hope to be crossing the border into Canada on our 4300-mile drive to Healy, Alaska. For now, we are enjoying a beautiful Virginia spring and indoor plumbing for a couple more weeks.

A year ago today, we were almost finished with the long drive. By leaving a month later this year, it has to be much warmer than our March 2023 drive. For example: https://roaming-nature.com/2023/03/16/night-fourteen-winter-boondock/
