We are in Virginia until we return to Alaska next spring. C set up a camera that sends us photos of the cabin until the cold drains the battery. We left Alaska just in time to avoid plowing and shoveling snow!

Snow was falling as we packed on September 21. Snow was sticking to the ground in Healy on September 27. Since then it is snowing regularly. These events were weeks after “termination dust” snow was on nearby peaks on September 2.

It is pleasant in Virginia, lows in the 50’s and highs in the 70’s. I am considering continuing to blog once a week while we are in Virginia. Perhaps I will alternate local roaming, nature and wildlife posts with Alaska or travel themed posts. Or I might take a break until we start traveling again, though I fear if I stop then I won’t start up again. We’ll see…
