Our fun stop for the day was the Bois Brule trout fishing river, which also has coho and chinook runs in the fall. We didn’t fish as the coho run had pretty much ended 2 weeks ago.

We also visited a fish hatchery there. It had a nice little info center where you could buy fish food for a quarter. It was great fun to feed the trout!

Wildlife for today was all turkeys, at least 14 in two separate flocks. We saw a moose crossing sign, but no moose. Fall colors aren’t as widespread as I was hoping, but there are some beautiful pockets of color.
