So much wildlife near the Alcan Highway today! We saw a grizzly bear, 29 dall sheep, a coyote, several pairs of swans, and lots of grouse.

In the evening I walked down to the Teslin River where I saw 3 swimming muskrats and at least 70 swans! It was dusk and the largest group of swans weren’t all that close. All I heard were Trumpeter Swans, but there could have been some of the smaller Tundra Swans mixed in the 60 white dots.

We had fall color again throughout the day. The first half of the day was past peak, but the latter half was peak yellows.

We have a lovely and reasonably priced room at Johnson’s Crossing Lodge. Would definitely stay here again! The room includes a mini fridge and microwave.
