Moose Crossing Lake

Moose at Otto Lake

We had zero success fishing at Otto Lake this evening.

Awestruck!
Can you believe this!

We headed to the nearby lake in a cold drizzle. For the first few hours it stayed overcast and drizzled. We didn’t get a single bite. We saw lots of birds & 2 moose at a distance which was neat. Then the sun came out, followed by this moose strolling through the water, then swimming and shaking off when she got to the other side! In addition to the beautiful photos here, I am sure C will eventually post his splendid videos to his Facebook page.

White hind legs seem to be common
Lesser Yellowlegs, perhaps?

  1. What kind of bait have you tried?

    1. For moose, no bait needed! For fish we were using lures (mostly spinners) & flies. We have some new things to try next time such as trout magnets and fireballs. Suggestions welcome!
