C added a heat lamp to the outhouse which provides both light & a bit of radiant heat.

The best thing about using an outhouse is the view! Years ago after spending 3 months using privies while hiking the southern half of the Appalachian Trail, I found indoor toilets confining & boring. I like to keep the door open except in the coldest, windiest conditions.

Speaking of sitting, C also made a perfectly sized “hot seat” from foam insulation board. No actual heat, but feels warm even in cold weather.
