Seven caribou shortly after we started Day 3 of the Alaska Highway.

Yesterday was our coldest morning, -9F and it didn’t warm up to over -6F for HOURS. Today it was +5F which was the warmest start in some time. More often than not we need to clear some snow from the truck. We always plug our block heater in over night. In order to avoid disconnecting the trailer we sometimes need to get creative with the outlet. Every place from WI north has been extremely accommodating in finding a place we can plug in while leaving the trailer hitched.

We have now driven over 4100 miles! We decided we need a full day with no driving. C is going to work from our hotel room tomorrow. I am trying to decide if I want to be ambitious & spendy (tempting dog sledding tours), explore Whitehorse on the cheap (lots to see walking from our downtown hotel), or lazy (barely leave room).
