Thank goodness we haven’t left for Alaska already as originally planned.   Widespread snow storms and blizzards are currently stretching along much of our driving route (Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Canada, Alaska).  Rather than huddling up somewhere waiting for the conditions to improve, we are in balmy Virginia (77F today!).  

Today I worked on the garden fences which keep the deer from eating my kale and herbs.  Husband C is adding fresh batteries to his game cameras.  Every day we make progress on packing, plus prepping our truck and trailer.  We are also cleaning and organizing, preparing to hand over the house and 6 acres to our house sitters.  In my mental background the clock keeps ticking toward our departure and I eagerly await March 2^nd.
